DINING AREAS
Close-up View of China Cabinet
Like this residence, so many B and Bs are older homes for which the owners desire to maintain the property's original architectural integrity while incorporating modern amenities and spe- cific needs. By working with professional designers and builders, one's goals can be met as  the old and new are seamlessly blended through the implementation of creativity and innovative designs.

Custom built China Cabinets
Dining Area
(with matching china cabinets
and gourmet kitchen in background)
These custom built china cabinets were designed
for a residential dining room area to create an open kitchen feel to the dining space while main-
taining privacy from the kitchen.

Note how the built-in china cabinets have the same design language as the custom designed/ custom built gourmet kitchen.  The design was created to meet the client's request for their newly designed kitchen and dining spaces to have the same archi-
tectural language as their 1920s coastal cottage.

The opening in this photograph was originally a 3'-0" opening with a hall to the original kitchen and laundry room. The finished work exemplifies a re-
novation project blending seamlessly into the au-
thentic architectural language and intent of the
home at the time of its original construction.

AWD specializes in custom designing and/or building dining tables, buffets, china cabinets, and other furniture needed in dining areas. Since finding
a table with seating capacity to accommodate the number of guests served breakfast at a B and B can sometimes be difficult, a cusom-designed/built dining table enables innkeepers to have a dining table to meet their specific needs.

The exquisite buffet shown in left panel was custom built by AWD using Curley Maple, Birdseye Maple, and Purple Heart.
